Exchange and Returns

In the event that you wish to return the bought product, here is our policy on returns:

We advise the customer to check the product against the invoice before accepting the parcel from the courier agency. We have a stringent quality control system in place. However, in an exceptional situation, if you find that the merchandise you have received is damaged, you would need to send us an e-mail stating the problem, a photo of the product and its code number within 24 hours of receiving the product. Upon receiving your email, our quality control team will analyse your concern and approve your return request. Once that is done, you would be eligible to return the product.

We request you to bear in mind that because we partner with craftsmen who use only handcrafted material and the process being a hand involved one, slight aberrations in textile, print and sewing are bound to happen and should not be considered as 'damaged'.

Please do make sure that the product is returned to us in the condition you received it, with the tags intact. We do not accept returned merchandise if the tags are cut off. If you wish to exchange a garment for another size in the same style, do send us an email right away to enable us to keep that piece aside for you. In case of exchange of a garment, where we do not have the required garment size, you can either choose another design in the required size or opt for a store credit slip.

  • We will strive to process all returns within 7 working days.
  • We do not cover the expense of returns from you.
  • Washed, used or ironed garments cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • We genuinely want to keep our customers satisfied with their purchase and believe that that's the only way to spread awareness about handcrafted products.
  • All return requests are subject to the discretion of the 'Nehal Desai' team.
  • Products bought online cannot be exchanged or returned in store.


Our delivery partners will attempt to deliver the package three times before they return it to us. Please provide the complete and accurate shipping address including zip code and a mobile number. This will help us in delivering your order faster.


We take great care in delivering your products to you, and we work with a reputed national and international courier service only. Your product will be shipped from us to your address on the next working day upon placing your order. Our courier partners will be able to deliver the shipment to you between Monday through Saturday 11am to 7pm Working days exclude public holidays and Sundays. If there are any unexpected delays from our courier partners and transporters due to weather conditions or strike, we will keep you updated.

As soon as your package is shipped, we will email you your package tracking information. Within India your parcel should reach you within 2-4 working days and for outside India anywhere between 8 and 12 working days depending on your location. We do not deliver to p.o. box or drop box addresses. We will not be liable for delays resulting from incomplete address listings or not available at the time of delivery. Leaving your phone number along with your address after your purchase is mandatory as it helps us and our courier partners to serve you better.


We will be able to accept cancellation requests till 24 hours after your purchase decision. After which we cannot cancel orders as the shipment would be out of our warehouse for delivery. We suggest you to wait for the parcel to reach you and then mail us your request. We will be happy to oblige all genuine concerns.


  • We recommend that our products, which are hand screen printed to be dry cleaned.
  • Do not use bleach or tumble dry.
  • Most of the textiles are Khadi and are pre-shrunk. Although the cotton linen textiles are not pre-shrunk.
  • Please note that Khadi becomes softer and nicer after every wash. A 3% shrinkage should be considered before purchase.
  • Iron while the cloth is still a little damp for desired result.


All prices mentioned are in Indian rupees. The final price reflected at the time of the checkout is the price you pay even if there is any fluctuation in the currency. If you find some of our products in a store, in rare cases you might see a slight difference in the price. Please consider that different platforms have different overheads and hence the difference. Local applicable tax, import duties in some cases and transaction charges are to be borne by the customer.


The colour of the products on the website are displayed and described accurately, however colour representation differs from computer to computer; there may be a minimal variation from the actual product you receive. Due to the hand printed nature of our products, the crop of the pattern will vary from product to product, and print variations may occur. This is not considered a fault; it adds to the characteristics of each product.
